Boot Hill Where The Wild Characters Lay

28) Graveyard

The north eastern corner of the Original Gold Rush Colony is taken up with Boot Hill. Wooden headstones give an insight into the Iconic Aussie sense of humour overlaying that of the Californian wild wild west. The path allows visitors a brief interaction with the Mogo State Forest without going for a long walk on the walking trail.

Sitting at peace with the universe, you can see and hear birds of the Mogo State Forest. If you are staying on site, then it is an ideal spot to do a spot of bird watching at dusk, as the Australian native birds take flight or come home to roost.
