The Eurobodalla Woodworkers Guild

The Eurobodalla Wood Craft Guild was formed in 1987.  Since that time it has had several bases. Since 2009 the club has been located in the grounds of The Original Gold Rush Colony.  The aim of he club is to provide people with the opportunity to work with wood on many different projects, from toy making to furniture making.

The members meet every  monday and wednesday from 9am to 3pm.Two life members, Don Lee and Mick Forsyth were on the original 1987 roll.

At various times during the year they conduct special interest groups, where tuition is given in such things as box making, pen making, french polishing and lathe turning.

Currently there are 45 active members. Skill levels vary from beginners to very competant amateurs and retired professionals.  The Guild slabs timber from fallen trees for use in their numerous proijects.  The timber is primarily eucalyptus. The club is always looking for fallen trees  of useful species, that need to be removed and then can be slabbed and turned into works of art.

New members, men or women, are welcomed, and novices encouraged. Application forms can be downloaded from the website link below.
