Glenn signed a contract with St George Ruby Club in 1997, and was also employed by the club's junior rugby league development officer. Glen left St George to travel to California where he worked as a wakeboard/waterski instructor. He then worked In the Kids Snowboard Program in Whistler and Blackcomb  British Columbia Canada. Glenn followed the trail of "The Endless Summer 2 Surf Movie" surfing and backpacking from Vancouver Island along the west coast of the USA, into Central America and Costa Rica.
After returning to Australia in 2001 Glenn completed a double degree (Bachelor Human Movement and Bachelor Teaching Secondary), then travelled in Europe for 18 months working as a Rally Driving Instructor for Rally School Ireland. Glenn is now a PDHPE teacher at Batemans Bay High School and runs Surf The Bay
