Koori Rock Art And Dot Painting

Hands On - With Traditional Local Aboriginals

The Gold Rush Colony Mogo offers a large range of Koori Activities.

Traditional Koori art or Dot painting are two of these options. The Koori dot painting is lead by one of the local elder ladies from the South Coast and the Koori banner design is lead by another of our Koori leaders. Both activities explore Australia's own traditional art forms. Students will find out the meaning of the colours, dots and shapes whilst expanding their creative skills.

The Koori dot painting allows students to take home their own individual rocks created by them or to go back to school with the single Koori art banner designed and created by the students as a team.

Both activities take approximately 1 hour.
