Sydney School Principal's Reference - Open Letter

School Camp Recommended Experience At Mogo

Last week I had the pleasure of participating in an overnight excursion with our three Year 5 classes to Old Mogo Town Gold Rush Theme Park at Mogo, just south of Batemans Bay.  This is the second successive year we have been to Old Mogo Town.  It is a valuable experience for the children, not just in term of studying "Gold" but in the covering areas such as Australian history in general, indigenous education and elements of the PDHPE curriculum.

As you might imagine, like you I have attended the odd excursion or two in my time.  I can honestly say that the facility, the learning activities and the service at Old Mogo Town are all second to none.  The accommodation and meals for teachers and students are excellent.  I was particularly impressed by the staff for whom no request was any trouble at all.  They spoke beautifully to the children and were really diligent in their efforts to ensure that all the kids were involved and engaged.

The purpose of this letter, should you be considering such an excursion, is to encourage you to consider making use of Old Mogo Town.  We will shortly be making our reservation there for the 2007 school year.

PS I'm receiving no 'Spotters Fee' but am simply motivated by trying to help people who are doing a good job!
