With so much going on at The Original Gold Rush Colony we nearly forgot that the Theme Park celebrated its 21st anniversary on the 2nd November.
The park has grown from its original Old Mogo Town Status, and recovered well from its years of being closed.
Quick thinking by Manager Gerogina Jackson, and Rapid Response Time by the Mogo Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and Fire Services of the Batemans Bay area averted what could have been a disaster.
Maureen and Robert represented the Original Gold Rush Colony as sponsors of the Annual NSW P&C Conference, held this year at the Bankstown Sports Club in Sydney.
They were constantly amazed by the passion and dedication of P&C representatives of all ages, from all over the State, in their efforts to enhance the education of the youth of our country.
The repairs to the storm damage are finally complete. The Original Gold
Rush Colony owners and staff are delighted with the way John Aust and
his team have been able to recreate the 1850's look for the new shed
housing the Rock Crusher and Betsy the Steam Engine. The tours will once
again be able to include the pulsating sound of the stamper battery.
Update (3rd December 2012)
The maze is finally open. Thank you to the NSW Government for the financial support through Destinations NSW 2011/2012 Regional Tourism Product Development Program and a big thank you to the South Coast Regional Tourism office for the support given over the last 12 months.
Back by popular demand!
The Diggers Rest Tavern situated in our gold rush village will be open for lunches and afternoon teas from Friday the 6th of April through the New South Wales school holidays.
Come in and enjoy some old fashioned hospitality after paying for entry into our award winning heritage venue.
Part time "Miss James" has worked overtime to create a virtually life size portrait of Queen Victoria who reigned over the British Empire during the 1850's Australian Gold Rush.

Big Night at The Diggers Rest Tavern
Robert is so pleased he accepted his life partner's gift of a great big birthday bash at The Diggers Rest Tavern in the grounds of The Original Gold Rush Colony. He had danced non stop at Peter's party there early in March, and succumbed to being feted himself.
