On May 21, 1983 (30 years ago) the original Batemans Bay Picture Theatre closed with a final screening - the 1920s Australian classic "For The Term Of His Natural Life". There was a pre-demolition celebration with live orchestra and Chicken & Champagne supper.

The explained the role of a tour guide for the 4 daily tours, and gave a run through of the many and varied tasks needed to keep a facility such as this running smoothly.

Mogo's volunteer fire fighters in the Bush Fire Brigade have a new more comfortable shed.  The old shed built in 1968 was barely adequate for the job, and the new $165,000 facility is a vast improvement. The morning was also marked by the presentation of a long service medal to Geoff Fleming, and a national medal to Stan Towers.

The Village Center Batemans Bay invited The Colony to do a promotion on their Sustainability Days. Imagine her and Jess Cloulthard's surprise when a dark haired Jess recognised her wedding photo on the promotional wedding banner.

An annual celebration of the creative talent which thrives in the Eurobodalla. A 10 day program of visual art, sculpture, dance, music, theatre, film, poetry and fun filled family events.  Artists will fill galleries, cafes, restaurants, shops and halls with their amazing works and set up an avenue of stalls at the markets offering you the opportunity to purchase your favourite piece.
