On May 21, 1983 (30 years ago) the original Batemans Bay Picture Theatre closed with a final screening - the 1920s Australian classic "For The Term Of His Natural Life". There was a pre-demolition celebration with live orchestra and Chicken & Champagne supper.

Mogo's volunteer fire fighters in the Bush Fire Brigade have a new more comfortable shed. The old shed built in 1968 was barely adequate for the job, and the new $165,000 facility is a vast improvement. The morning was also marked by the presentation of a long service medal to Geoff Fleming, and a national medal to Stan Towers.

The Village Center Batemans Bay invited The Colony to do a promotion on their Sustainability Days. Imagine her and Jess Cloulthard's surprise when a dark haired Jess recognised her wedding photo on the promotional wedding banner.
An annual celebration of the creative talent which thrives in the Eurobodalla. A 10 day program of visual art, sculpture, dance, music, theatre, film, poetry and fun filled family events.
