Get Your Dancing Shoes On

Celebrate with the Red Cross and enjoy a dinner and bush dance.

Saturday 22nd November 2014, from 5pm - 9pm.

Cost $25.00 per Adult and $12.50 children under 12 years (includes a 2 course pub style meal).

Children under 5 years old are free and small meals may be purchased for them.

Solid national touring since 2007 has seen Josh Rawiri spread his solo sounds to every nook and cranny of Australia, but performing with Moroccan Knights is where he lets the sparks fly.

The current Moroccan Knights touring party consists of two piece Josh Rawiri and Josh Eales (on drums).

The Old Gold Folk Club likes to bring interesting instruments for your delectation, and this month we've scored highly. The Hardanger fiddle, or in Norwegian, Hardangfele, is the traditional bowed stringed instrument of Norway. Modern instruments are quite similar to the violin in appearance, but Hardangfele have eight or nine strings, and are usually lighter built than violins.

The Old Gold Folk Club on December 7 will not only be the last for the year, but the last for five months!  And so it's definitely one not to miss. Especially as resident band Ballyhooley will be joined by Canberra-based band Flash Company for the occasion.
